Arts Ballet to the International Ballet Festival of Miami

Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida represented by Principals Mary Carmen Catoya and Kazuya Arima have been invited to participate in The XXII Annual International Ballet Festival of Miami. The Festival will be held in Miami /Miami Beach and for the first time in NJ/NYC from August 27 through September 17, 2017 with many different events.

The Festival has three Ballet Gala evenings, three Contemporary performances, Dance Films, Receptions, Art exhibit, Dance book presentation, Workshops and more. Each year on the night of the Etoiles Classical Gala Performance, the Festival presents a Lifetime Achievement award, “A Life for Dance” to world renowned ballet personalities. A second award, “Criticism & the Culture of Ballet” is presented to the most important international dance critics at the Festival Closing Gala Performance.


Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida will be performing the adagio of the ballet in progress “ Vertigo” with music by Bernard Herrmann and choreography by Vladimir Issaev on a Libretto by Baltasar Martin on Sunday, Sept. 17th at 5pm at Miami Dade County Auditorium Closing Gala.
